Description
Thus, this research aim to identify the effect of structured patient education for pressure injury on four outcome of interest namely 1) patient's knowledge, 2) patient's participation, 3) wound healing progress and 4) quality of life.
This is a quasi-experimental with control group to which will be conducted in Wound Care Unit Queen Elizabeth Hospital Sabah. Target population in this study are adult patients with limited mobility who are having pressure injury. A total of 120 patients (with 60 patients/arm) will be recruited using a convenience sampling. Data will be collected at baseline, week 4 and week 8 using a questionnaires and checklist. No invasive procedures are involved in this study.

Inclusion & Exclusion Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
Inclusion criteria:
• Patient must be literate in either Malay or English language.
• Patients with PI stage II or stage III according to NPIAP staging of PI.
• PI located either at sacrococcygeal / greater trochanter/ischial tuberosities.
• Braden score 14 or less; with mobility score 2-very limited or 1-slightly limited
• Absence of any active malignant, infectious, haematological problem or psychiatric disease

Exclusion criteria:
• Immunocompromised
• Having urinary/fecal incontinence
• Comatose patient or who are unable to response verbally
• Patient who will undergone flap or skin graft surgery
